Here, you can download some paper crafts for evaluation purposes and the plugin Cutout as a restricted demo version.

Paper Crafts

All the following paper crafts were directly generated by Cutout and exported by Maya to obj format. The paper crafts are always generated axis-aligned for easy rendering/printing. For displaying obj meshes, there are many programs available such as view3dscene or MeshLab.

Cutout Demo Version

Cutout is also available as a demo version with restricted functionality. The demo version allows models with up to 12 faces such as a cube to be processed. All other features, e.g. textures, are fully enabled. Together with the maya free trial version it is possible to start out immediately.

The restriction to 12 faces means that you can actually try out objects with up to 12 triangles or 6 quads. The reason for this is that Cutout automatically converts the selected objects to triangular meshes at the beginning. So try cubes and pyramids to get a first impression. The full version which is available in the Order section does _not_ have this limitation, of course.

Cutout is directly available from the Dunreeb website. In comparison to the demo version, it has no restriction of the processable number of faces.
